905er does not necceisarily mean anyone from outside downtown, or the deifntion you have provided above. 905er is a mentality that most of these suburbanites expouse. The "too cool for school, lets go to cheval dressed like sluts, lets go to century in our Ed Hardy shirts to show off our muscles, look at the car my daddy bought me" mentailty. they come downtown and think they are better than everyone else. the 905 area code is FULL of fantastic people I wouldn't hesitate to associate with. Its the mentatilty of certain indivuduals as noted above. Unfortunately, when you're downtown Toronto, most people who act this way are from the 905.

in addition, a lady friend of mine who recently arrived from France could NOT BELEIVE the way the young women here dress.. they would be believed to be prostitutes if they dressed this way in Paris. She was on King, just west of Spadina when making this observation.

i love this article!! You know i had no idea what your position was regarding the "905-er" title which i used too loosely far too many times around you!! sorry for that. I think I was over saturated with anti-905er vibes from many many ppl i associated with this summer...especially one in particular;)- . Thank you for reminding me that suburbans can and do contribute to the downtown culture and don't deserve this unwarrented slack they've been getting! No one should know better than a girl from the suburbs in Calgary!!!
I mean all they want to do is party no? let them be! as for the "puking all over our streets" i can think of a couple dt residents that have contributed to that mess in the past as well:)
