Search for a Travel Buddy

I’ve just been informed by a dear friend that she will *not* be accompanying me to India for the holidays. Therefore, I am left to fend for myself from Dec.7th until Dec.19..at which point I will be attending family events for a week..from the 26th to Jan 17th, I am once again on the road and open to suggestions..I will be back in the GTA January 17th, preparing to move downtown.
Yes, it is with dismay that I now search for a travel buddy..to replace my darling Shaifz.
This is about to resemble a call for marriage proposals, but this is what constitutes my ideal travel buddy..:
Hopefully you are..
-familiar with Indian language(s)
-tough, strong and built to protect me from evil!
-open to trying new things
-a gay male or equally disgusted by me?
-comfortable getting lost
-comfortable talking to anyone and everyone
-okay with eating out of newspaper wrapping
-fine with splitting up for the day and then meeting up later on…or just taking our space..!
You must be able to handle..
-getting sick from what you eat
-smoggy air
-fresh air
-lots of people
-not talking for hours on end
-my corny jokes..(i can put them on hold if you tell me)
Please don’t be..
-someone who wants to go shopping all the time
-someone who wants to party all the time
-someone who expects me to laugh at all your jokes
-someone who wants to eat and sleep at the most expensive and “see to be seen” places all the time..
-addicted to ‘sight’ seeing..though i do like a few museums and hot spots along the way
-stuck to my hip
Ideally you..
–like all forms of art/music/history/activity
–don’t mind questionable forms of transportation, such as rickshaws and packed trains..
–can handle a lot of questions (cause i can’t help that) and appreciate, not hate..
–are not in a rough relationship–because i really can’t deal with people complaining about or fighting with their lovers at a distance for the whole trip
if you’ve got what it takes, send me a message in private..please do not comment on here..the interview process will continue from therein..We are also in the process of making this a reality show called, “Who wants to be my travel buddy?”
I will be visiting Mumbai, 100%..the rest is really up in the air..other options include Goa, Bangalore, Cochin, Chennai, Chandigarh, Mysore, Pondicherry:P, Delhi, and Rajasthan…oh, really, it’s a huge country..
If anyone wants to suggest places for me to visit, I would love to hear that as well..
Since I’m going at it, I’ll also be in Dubai/Sharjah from November 26th to Dec 6th..if anyone down there wants to party or hit up Sheikh Ziyad Road for some averted eyes;)
